Premios Juventud's Europe Debut Is Built on Big Returns, First-Time Performers and Unlikely Pairings

Premios Juventud's first trip to Europe is shaping up as a reunion, a debut party and, in at least one case, a symphonic reggaetón experiment.

The awards show, which will air live from Starlite Marbella in Spain on Sept. 3, has added Ángela Aguilar, Camilo, Natanael Cano, Wisin, Yandel, Manuel Carrasco, Aria Vega, DND | Do Not Disturb and Santos Bravos to its performer lineup. The additions deepen a bill already stacked with artists returning to the Premios Juventud stage, including Marc Anthony, Christian Nodal, Farruko and Mau y Ricky, while bringing several performers to the ceremony for the first time.

For a show leaving the United States for Europe for the first time, the mix feels important and a powerful statement about the future of Latin Music. Premios Juventud is leaning into artists with established histories at the awards while creating showcase moments for acts still introducing themselves to a massive, multi-country TV audience.

Aguilar returns with one of the most recognizable songs in Mexican music, delivering an original rendition of 'Cielito Lindo.' The performance gives the singer, who is nominated in three categories, a distinctly Mexican musical moment in Spain, where the awards are placing regional Mexican music alongside urbano, pop and tropical acts.

Natanael Cano also returns, but with the opposite kind of statement. The corridos tumbados star will bring the television premieres of 'Mar Azul' and 'CR7,' giving the genre one of the night's more contemporary, youth-driven slots. Cano has been a five-time Premios Juventud winner, and his appearance follows another performance by regional Mexican superstar Christian Nodal, who is set to sing 'Amé.'

Camilo will use the ceremony to unveil a global release, adding a true new-music moment to a night increasingly built around premieres. The Colombian singer-songwriter is a three-time Premios Juventud winner and has two nominations this year.

Then come the debuts.

Elvis Crespo will make his Premios Juventud debut with two television world premieres, including 'La Graciosa' alongside Quevedo. The pairing is one of the show's clearest cross-generational plays: Crespo, a defining figure in merengue, sharing a performance with Quevedo, one of Spain's biggest urban stars and a first-time Premios Juventud performer himself.

Quevedo will also perform a medley featuring 'Columbia' and 'Al Golpito,' turning his debut into one of the most substantial Spanish-artist moments of the night. Ana Mena and Juan Magán, also making their Premios Juventud debuts, further underline how seriously the show is treating its host country rather than using Marbella as a glamorous backdrop for a largely U.S.-based event.

Manuel Carrasco, one of Spain's most enduring singer-songwriters, will make his debut with a medley of 'Buchito' and 'Oh Si Pudiera.' Meanwhile, Miami-based Cuban DJ Rous will get a major career milestone as part of the opening number, 'Marbella Nights,' the official Premios Juventud 2026 anthem, alongside Farruko and Juan Magán.

That opening performance is one of several collaborations designed specifically for the night. Farruko will also join Greeicy for 'Yapaque,' while Wisin will return with a medley of 'Saoco,' 'Paleta' and 'Gistro Amarillo.' Yandel, who will be honored as an Agent of Change, arrives with a grand Symphonic Musical Performance, exclusive to Premios Juventud 2026. Yandel also has two nominations, Album of the Year and Best Urban Mix, and has won 17 Premios Juventud awards.

The show is also making room for its next class. Colombian singer Aria Vega, known as "La Nena de Quilla," will debut with a three-song set that includes 'Tototo,' 'Cule Poco (sirena_besarico_costeña)' and 'Chévere.' Two new Latin boy bands will get similarly high-profile introductions: DND | Do Not Disturb will world-premiere 'Too Good,' while HYBE Latin America's Santos Bravos will perform 'Velocidade.'

Marc Anthony's return as an Agent of Change, with a medley including 'Aguanile,' 'Valió La Pena' and 'Vivir Mi Vida,' gives the night its biggest legacy-star moment. But the more interesting story may be who gets their first chance beside him: a new Colombian artist, two multinational boy bands, a Miami DJ and Spanish acts finally stepping into a franchise that is widening its map.

Premios Juventud airs Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. ET on Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión, ViX and YouTube. It will also air in Mexico on Canal 5 at 5 p.m.
